it would be smooth, delicate, and at times abrasive lol. Growing up with a white mother and a black father I was exposed to a wide variety of formats from country to classic rock. My name literally means what I do for a profession. Raised around different races I quickly learned how to work with and adapt to different people, cultures, moods, and environments. As you’ll find out this translates in how I deal with you, your guests, and the music set for your event. 

Anybody can hook up their phone and play their Spotify playlist, but the reason a DJ is hired is to be able to read the crowd. This is something your playlist cannot do. The creativity lies in the moment. With my unique experience and intuition I create a  perfectly balanced mix from start to finish, with one song of the evening effortlessly flowing into the next.

Of course, there are classics, but I enjoy breaking new records. Something else your playlist can’t do is interact with your crowd on the microphone to energize your guests. It’s impossible to predict when these moments will happen. And I love recognizing these moments….. choosing to play the right songs in the right order to create a special, memorable, and incredibly enjoyable experience.

So keep in mind you won’t necessarily hear these songs at your event, that these mixes are just a “taste” of my DJing skill to give you an idea of how I program my sets and transition between them. It’s important to me that I choose the right songs, for the right event, for YOUR event and it’s crucial that they are mixed properly. We go over all those little details in our consultation of your likes/dislikes/preferences etc. We’ll be sure to mix it up, as you’ll see from the selections above.
